ISDSA Press is a not-for-profit publisher and does not try to profit from publishing books. An author can prepare a book in publishable format and ISDSA Press does not charge anything for publishing it except for recovering the book publication cost such as printing and shipping cost.
It is highly recommended for an author to do copyediting, formating, citation checking and book indexing himself or herself since the author is the one who is most familiar with contents of the book. We provide guidelines on how to best do the work.
ISDSA Press provides the following service for a fee should an author chooses to use the service. This is not related to whether the book can be accepted for publication.
ISDSA Press only provides light editing service - is limited to edits on the word and sentence level and would not require substantive rewriting. For light editing, the cost is 4 cents a word or $40 an hour.
If we format only — without editing — we charge between \$40 and \$45 per hour. We can also provide you with a fixed quote for formatting jobs.
We can check the accuracy of your citations. For this work, which can be very time consuming, we charge $45/hour.
Indexing fees are based on a “per page” rate, ISDSA Press charges \$5 per indexable page. The indexing fee is the “page rate” X the number of indexable pages in the book. For example, if a book has 200 pages with indexes, the total charge is \$1000 = \$5 * 200.
Every book is different. For a quote, please contact us at service@isdsa.org.
