Alexander Christensen
Dr. Alexander Christensen is an Assistant Professor at Vanderbilt University. His research aims to develop network science methods and software to better understand the structural building blocks of psychological phenomena in healthy and disordered populations. These methods range from network psychometrics for personality and psychopathological data to semantic network and topic analyses for text data. The core content area of his research focuses on understanding and measuring personality as a dynamic cybernetic system (of systems). In his postdoctoral work, he is investigating whether artworks can deliver understanding (e.g., moral, emotional, and perspective-taking) by applying semantic network and topic analyses.
Dr. Christensen is also a consulting editor for the European Journal of Personality and Frontiers in Psychology – Theoretical and Philosophical Psychology.
